Chapter 250: Generous Rewards II
Chapter 250: Generous Rewards II
With his damage against Disasters increasing even further, Noah naturally had no complaints.
He then turned his attention to the remaining rewards.
The Merit Points, Contribution Points, and the title Disaster Bane were most likely standard rewards granted for destroying any Disaster.
The other two rewards, however, were clearly different.
One of them was awarded because this was the very first Small Calamity Noah had ever destroyed.
Most likely, destroying additional Small Calamities in the future would no longer grant the same reward.
It was similar to a first-clear reward.
A one-time benefit.
Unless, of course, he became the first person to destroy a Medium Calamity in the future and obtained an even greater first-clear reward.
The other reward existed because of Noah’s extraordinary performance.
After all, he had destroyed a Small Calamity while only being a Fifth-Order expert.
Just as Noah had already realized, it was incredibly difficult for a normal Fifth-Order expert to destroy a Small Calamity.
Only someone like him, whose combat strength vastly exceeded his actual realm, could accomplish such a feat.
Being able to destroy a Small Calamity at the Fifth Order was already considered exceptional performance.
If Noah had managed to achieve this while still at Fourth Order, the reward would probably have been even more outrageous.
Conversely, if he had already been Sixth Order, the additional reward would likely have been much more ordinary.
And if he had been Seventh Order or higher, there probably would not have been any extra rewards at all.
Most importantly, this additional reward was actually a universal reward.
"I really didn’t expect destroying Disasters to grant universal rewards as well."
Noah couldn’t help but sigh emotionally.
This truly surprised him.
Moreover, the level of this universal reward was extremely high, comparable to the reward for clearing an Advancement Instance on the highest possible difficulty.
This alone showed just how extraordinary Noah’s performance had been.
This reward was most likely another one-time reward, just like the previous one.
From now on, unless Noah managed to destroy a Medium Calamity, it was unlikely that he would receive a reward of an even higher tier.
Moreover, his level couldn’t be too high.
Otherwise, the achievement probably would no longer qualify as "outstanding performance."
"Perfect-grade item, specifiable?"
Noah focused his attention on the newly obtained reward.
There was nothing particularly surprising about the universal reward itself.
What truly interested him was this so-called specifiable Perfect-grade reward.
Previously, he had also received a choosable Perfect-grade reward.
But this one was described differently.
Specifiable.
What exactly was the difference?
As Noah examined the reward information more carefully, he quickly understood.
Choosable and specifiable were completely different concepts.
A choosable reward provided a selection pool and allowed the user to pick one item from it.
Although the range of options was far broader than normal dungeon drops, it was still limited.
Whether or not you could obtain the exact item you wanted still depended partly on luck.
The last time Noah used such a reward, his luck had been excellent, allowing him to directly obtain a Small Spirit Vein.
But specifiable was completely different.
It allowed the user to directly designate the exact category and type of item they wanted.
For example, if Noah chose a skill reward, he could directly specify a passive skill that enhanced mental strength or spiritual power.
It was essentially a form of customization.
Its value was far beyond that of an ordinary choosable reward.
"As expected of a reward granted for destroying a Disaster for the very first time."
Noah’s heart trembled slightly.
The value of this reward was simply too enormous.
Of course, he could also understand why.
After all, if he wanted to obtain another reward of this level in the future, he would first need to destroy an even more terrifying Medium Calamity.
"There’s no need to rush its use."
Taking a deep breath, Noah forcefully suppressed the excitement in his heart.
Although he truly wanted to immediately specify a mental passive skill, he had already entrusted Valdrik with collecting skills for him.
When the results arrived, he could make his final decision then.
There was still plenty of time.
This kind of reward had to be used on the rarest and hardest-to-obtain items in order to maximize its value.
"Right... I should be able to unlock Civilization Traits now."
Noah looked at the 1.3 million Contribution Points he had just obtained, and his thoughts stirred slightly.
Once Contribution Points accumulated to a certain threshold, Civilization Traits could be unlocked.
The first Civilization Trait required 100,000 Contribution Points.
The second required 1 million.
The third required 10 million.
And the requirements would continue increasing exponentially afterward.
Not to mention the first trait.
With Noah’s current amount of Contribution Points, he could now even unlock the second Civilization Trait.
Unfortunately, both Merit Points and Contribution Points could only be used within the Civilization Convergence Zone.
There, Awakeners could open a special interface where both Merit and Contribution were displayed and managed.
Since Noah had returned from the Civilization Convergence Zone less than three days ago, naturally, he couldn’t enter it again yet.
"Hm?"
Noah’s expression suddenly changed slightly.
After the Disaster Will died, the Black Planet itself also began undergoing astonishing transformations.
It was as though the world had lost the force sustaining it internally.
The massive planet began collapsing rapidly.
However, Noah had no opportunity to witness the full process of a planet’s destruction.
This was because the entire world itself, including the Black Planet and the surrounding outer space, had begun collapsing as well.
An unimaginably terrifying destructive force swept rapidly across the entire starry sky.
Although this Calamity World possessed a cosmic structure similar to a universe, it was actually extremely small.
In fact, it was even smaller than the Solar System where Blue Star was located.
There was no sun.
Nor were there any other planets.
The entire world consisted solely of the Black Planet existing alone within empty space.
Realizing the situation was turning dangerous, Noah immediately reversed the nature of the Pure Energy within his body.
Before the universal destruction storm could engulf him, he forcibly escaped from the collapsing world and returned to Blue Star.
