Chapter 15. Limited Mission
Chapter 15. Limited Mission
On the way to the physics and chemistry classroom, they would pass by the second-year classrooms. Hoshino Kaoru, with her left sleeve pulled up part of her sleeve and the other sleeve hanging down naturally, her chest button undone, formed a stark contrast to Mizukami Orina, whose steps were slow and elegant.
Everyone is speculating about the relationship between the two, and whispers can be heard from time to time.
[That's strange, isn't that Hoshino-senpai who slept with girls and then didn't take responsibility?]
Yes, I've seen tons of negative news about him on the school forum.
The person next to him looks like a new transfer student. How did they end up together?
I don't know, they're probably dating.
【那家伙又恋爱了吗?每天都可以跟不同的女生走到一起,真是混蛋!好想揍他啊】
You could sense that most of the gazes were hostile.
"See, Hoshino-kun?"
Mizukami wore an expression that said, "I knew it," with a slight upturn at the corners of his mouth.
"You have so many scandals that it's terrifying. Even the second-year students are talking about you. You should be grateful for my mercy. If I hadn't been with you, you probably would have been splashed with water or pelted with rotten eggs."
Xun nodded, agreeing with what she said.
"Sooner or later I will prove myself. I am not the kind of person everyone thinks I am. I save the world every day after school. Yesterday I even stopped a serious incident. It is so pitiful that a kind-hearted citizen like me, full of a sense of justice, is being misunderstood by everyone."
Upon hearing his words, Shui subconsciously thought he was lying, but her instincts told her that what this guy was saying was the truth.
She looked thoughtful and casually remarked, "A serious incident?"
"This is it, this is what I made."
Xun opened her phone and showed her the news article that was the most searched topic.
Knowing he was telling the truth and not lying, Mizukami was somewhat surprised, never expecting this seemingly frivolous guy to have such a side to him.
Seeing that she looked away, Kaoru noticed the pop-up 'transparent window'.
[Limited-time missions have been unlocked]
[Give her a seven-day period to tell you a lie once.]
[Task Reward: 1 points]
Getting the student to tell a lie sounds like a simple task that could be easily accomplished.
However, he had a feeling that this task was definitely not as simple as it seemed.
Xun stroked her chin with her index finger and thumb and asked a question in a casual tone.
"Mizukami-kun, have you ever lied to anyone?"
Upon hearing his words, the person walking ahead on the water stopped and looked at him with an arrogant air.
"I hate lies, so I hold myself to the same standards I hold others to. My hatred of lies means that I will never lie, and that has been true of me since I was a child."
"Do you like me, Mizukami-kun?"
Kaoru called out to the person walking ahead on the water, wanting to test her charm.
However, instead of answering him, Mizukami leaned her face close to his body with concern, stood on tiptoe slightly, and gently touched his forehead with the back of her hand.
What are you doing?
Xun thought she was just too excited and wanted to kiss her, but now she realized that wasn't the case.
"Hoshino-kun."
He pulled his forward-leaning body up from the water and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
She spoke in a high-profile tone.
"If I were you, I wouldn't have such unrealistic fantasies. If you had a fever, I would feel sorry for you, but you don't, so I just feel sorry for you now."
"After all, that's something that can never happen. I will never fall in love with you. And there's something else I have to say. This is the third time I've said this today."
The mission... was not completed.
Well, Kaoru was a little disappointed.
"So you hate me?"
He said this with some disappointment.
Mizukami frowned and shook his head.
I don't hate you.
"Oh...so do you like the Mapo Tofu Ramen I made?"
"I love it, I love it so much, I love it so much."
The response this time was remarkably quick.
Looking at the unfinished task notification, Hoshino Kaoru thought to herself that this young lady in front of her had no intention of lying to her, and didn't even have a hint of tsundere. Getting her to say something against her will was almost impossible.
"Mizukami-kun, I really want to take your virginity... Instead of lying to others, how about this: if you lie to me even once, I'll marry into the Mizukami family, how about that?"
When the two arrived at the door of the physics and chemistry classroom, Kaoru suddenly said these words.
"Hmph, you're dreaming. But I can make you my servant, responsible for tending the flowers and plants in the mansion. If you're obedient and behave well, I can occasionally reward you by washing my worn shoes and socks, and I'll allow you to spend afternoon tea with me."
"What's the point of having afternoon tea together? How about spending the whole evening together?"
"Hoshino-kun, if you don't want to become my servant, you'd better die right now."
Mizukami lifted her right foot and stepped on Hoshino Kaoru's shoe, as if she were about to crush a cockroach, and began to twist and turn it forcefully from side to side.
"No, absolutely not! I don't want to be a servant!"
Xun wanted to pull his right foot out, but he was afraid that the young lady would fall. The two of them were right at the classroom door. He was in so much pain that he couldn't make a sound. He could only protest silently with the ferocious expression on his face.
Seeing how hard he was trying to suppress his voice, Mizukami seemed quite satisfied and opened the classroom door to go inside.
Only after the pain subsided did Kaoru put away her ferocious expression, squat down, and begin massaging her right foot that had been stepped on.
The young lady went all out! Isn't that a bit too ruthless?
------------
That concludes today's lessons.
The clock struck four. The math teacher had barely left the classroom when conversations like "I really don't want to go to club activities" and "Want to go sing karaoke together?" could be heard from the class.
Kaoru started packing her textbooks. The advantage of not participating in clubs was that she didn't have to stay at school and could go home as soon as possible after school.
The windows were open, and the crisp sound of baseballs being hit could be heard from time to time, along with the occasional off-key ensemble of brass instruments.
"That sounds awful, those guys in the brass band are making noise again."
Xun left the classroom, walked through the poorly lit corridor, and rode her bicycle to the school gate.
Just as he was about to drive onto the road, he saw several black cars parked in front of him. The windows were open, and the young lady's cold, scrutinizing gaze pierced him directly.
"Get in the car, Hoshino-san, I have something important to tell you."
What about the bicycle?
Xun was a little worried about her precious bicycle.
"Is there anyone who can ride a bicycle to help him ride back?"
While playing with her nails, Mizukami casually mentioned it, and immediately a man in a suit said "Yes" in a very respectful tone, then took Kaoru's bicycle and rode away.
The scene of the man in the suit and the bicycle was somewhat comical. Xun was a little worried about the bicycle, and as she watched the man ride away unsteadily, she couldn't help but remind him, "Don't fall!"
After the man rode the bicycle far away, he got into the car, and the doors and windows slowly closed. The car was well soundproofed, and he could hear his breathing becoming heavier.
As soon as Xun sat down, his body was restrained by two men. One of the men took out a syringe in front of him, and before he could resist, the sharp needle had already pierced his neck.
His vision went black, and then he completely lost consciousness.
