Chapter 187: Extreme Showdown of Love (End)
"Um... I think I'll head back now." Fubuki finally couldn't keep still. She rose from her seat and spoke softly, her voice carrying a note of unease.
But just as she turned to leave, Tatsumaki's voice rang out behind her.
"Wait." Her gaze locked onto her sister. "Fubuki, what did you come to Shinji's place for today?"
"N-nothing really... I just wanted to ask him about a few things..." Fubuki replied, her tone nervous under her sister's sharp questioning.
Tatsumaki tilted her head, skepticism written on her face. "Is that so? Because I thought you liked Shinji."
She already had some idea of the things that had happened between them.
"Like..."
The single word sent Fubuki spiraling into thought. She didn't truly understand what it meant to "like" someone, but lately, there had been this strange, nagging feeling inside her...
At first, she had decided to stop bothering Shinji altogether. But as time passed, something began to feel wrong. Her chest would tighten unexpectedly, her mood would shift without reason. Recently, she even found herself dreaming about him again and again.
She couldn't make sense of it. Was it simply because she hadn't seen him in so long? Or was it that the sudden change to her usual routine had left her restless?
Unable to find the answer, she came here today. And as fate, or bad luck, would have it, she ran into not only Shinji, but her sister and Psykos too.
Yet after Tatsumaki's blunt words just now, a thought bloomed in her heart. Could it be that the strange feelings she had carried all this time... were because she liked Shinji?
Even as that realization struck her, Fubuki didn't shrink away or turn shy. She could face her emotions head-on. All she wanted was certainty, was it truly that?
Seeing her reaction, Tatsumaki narrowed her eyes, as though confirming something. "Don't tell me I was right? Fubuki... do you like Shinji?"
"...!"
Fubuki stayed silent. Since she wasn't entirely sure yet, she couldn't give an answer.
Shinji, meanwhile, was left in complete confusion. The standoff between Tatsumaki and Psykos had already been bad enough. Now Fubuki too...?
"So what now? My sister and I both like you. What do you think should be done?" Tatsumaki's gaze shifted back to him, her lips curving into a teasing smile.
She wasn't angry. Fubuki was her precious sister, and she wasn't about to rage just because they both liked the same man. The only one she truly considered an outsider here was Psykos.
"..."
Shinji fell quiet for a long moment before answering with all the seriousness he could muster. "You are all my wings."
He meant every word. No matter who it was, he wanted to take responsibility. And so his choice was to embrace them all.
His answer stunned Tatsumaki, leaving her momentarily speechless.
"You are one hell of a greedy guy, huh? You want to hold us all in your arms...!" she finally said, her tone a mix of surprise and disbelief.
"Back then, Shinji saved me. No matter what, I will never give up on him." Psykos' reply came firm and unshaken, her resolve shining through every word.
"I... I don't know if what I feel truly counts as 'liking.' All I know is that when I'm with Shinji, I feel at ease." Fubuki's words came softly, accompanied by a gentle smile. However, before the tense atmosphere could ease, unexpected visitors arrived at Shinji's door.
Boros and Loris stepped inside.
"What's going on here? Why are there so many women here?" The moment Loris entered, her eyes landed on the three women sitting in Shinji's living room, and she immediately spoke with concern.
"And who are you? Did you come with that alien too?" Tatsumaki snapped, firing back a question of her own. The sudden arrival of Loris gave her a distinctly bad feeling.
"I'm also an alien. I'm Boros' younger sister. My name is Loris," she introduced herself without hesitation.
"You're actually his sister...!" Tatsumaki muttered, taken aback.
But Loris didn't spare her another glance. She walked straight over to Shinji and boldly grabbed his hand. "Come on, let's go on a date!"
In truth, she only meant that she wanted to hang out with him. But after reading some manga recently, she had learned the word "date" and decided to use it, without caring whether or not it fit the situation.
"Date?!"
Alarm bells went off in Tatsumaki's head. She quickly leaned forward, her voice sharp. "Wait a second! Are you also Shinji's girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend? No." Loris waved dismissively. "If I have to say it, I want to become his wife."
"Oh, oh..." Tatsumaki nodded absentmindedly, but then realization hit her like a hammer. "Wait, that's even worse!"
"What's the problem? Anyway, what are you all doing in Shinji's house?" Loris countered, tilting her head as if genuinely confused.
And before anyone could answer, two more figures appeared. Do-S and Mosquito Girl walked in, their timing suspiciously perfect.
"So this is that man's house... huh? Why are there so many people here?" Do-S muttered, her voice full of interest.
"Master, there's a pile of documents that need your attention lately~" Mosquito Girl chimed in sweetly, holding a thick stack of papers in her arms. From the looks of it, Do-S had simply tagged along.
As if that weren't enough, Lily and Captain Mizuki arrived soon after.
"Senpai, senpai! Are you free today? Lily and I came to see you!" Mizuki called out cheerfully.
"Eh? Why is Lady Fubuki here too?" Lily asked, her surprise written all over her face.
By now, Shinji's living room was overflowing. There was barely any space left to sit, let alone breathe.
Boros, meanwhile, remained silent. His expression betrayed no emotion, but inwardly he wasn't surprised. With Shinji's strength, he was more than qualified to have countless women in his harem, on Earth or across the universe.
Shinji, however, felt a swirl of emotions, both thrilled and utterly helpless. It seemed unavoidable now. He was about to face a bloody storm in the battlefield of love.
Please, spare me~!

(AN: Well, it was a classy harem ending. With how little romance was shown, I guessed this was the best the author could do. Honestly, it was a decent fanfic. It was a little bland, but I did my best to add some emotion to the dialogue. As for romance, I could have created a better love story between girls and Shinji, but I didn't know who he was going to end up with. Besides, I was way busier, so I couldn't make that happen. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading it. Share your feedback in the comments.)
