Chapter 17 Lost Memories
Chapter 17 Lost Memories
During that brief glimpse through the crack in the door, Zhou Wenzhe memorized the faces of two girls among the group of people inside. Based on his earlier search in the system, he recognized them as Jisoo and Jennie, members of the YG Entertainment girl group BlackPink.
Kim Jisoo?
Zhou Wenzhe silently repeated the name a few times. He hadn't thought about it when he was looking up information earlier, but now he suddenly felt that he had heard the name somewhere before, and it seemed somewhat familiar.
Could it be that the person referred to as 'first love' is her?
But why can't I remember it at all, and I don't even have any impression of the name?
At this moment, a young woman walked over. Zhou Wenzhe politely stopped her, pointed to the filming studio from before, and asked with a smile, "Hello, I'd like to ask what program is being filmed there?"
"It's Monday today, they're probably filming Running Man."
"Oh, thank you."
"You're welcome. Are you a new actor?" The girl looked at Zhou Wenzhe's handsome face and sighed that the Creator was too biased.
"No, goodbye." Zhou Wenzhe gave another polite smile and then strode away.
Back in his car, he decided to wait until the show was finished recording to see if he would have a chance to meet Kim Ji-soo.
He originally thought he would have to wait a long time, but to his surprise, he noticed that the marked car was moving again after just over an hour.
Zhou Wenzhe followed again, and this time they arrived at an outdoor water park.
It turns out we'll continue filming the show here.
Zhou Wenzhe originally wanted to sneak in as a tourist to see if he could get close to Kim Ji-soo, but he didn't expect that the water park was closed today and had been booked by the production team.
There's nothing we can do but keep waiting.
They waited until late at night.
Is recording variety shows really that hard?
While waiting, Zhou Wenzhe searched for the variety show called "Running Man" in the system.
Although the show is now declining in popularity, it is still one of the most popular variety shows in South Korea, and many idols and actors come to the show to promote their new works.
Black Pink recently released their first mini-album, titled "SQUARE UP".
Just as the hour hand of the clock on the vehicle was about to point to the number '11', the marked nanny van finally started moving again.
Zhou Wenzhe started the car again and followed, but because there were significantly fewer cars on the road at this time, he didn't dare to follow too closely.
Even so, the driver of the van spotted Zhou Wenzhe's car through the rearview mirror.
Based on his years of experience, he realized that the car had been following him all along, and now that he thought about it, he seemed to have seen the car during the day.
In other words, the people in this car have been following them all day. What is their purpose?
He then said to the two girls sitting in the back row, "There's a car following us. I suspect it's a sasaeng fan."
Upon hearing this, the two girls immediately became nervous and asked hesitantly, "What should we do?"
"Don't worry, he's just following us, he won't dare do anything. I'll find a way to shake him off."
"Um."
Jisoo and Jennie exchanged a glance; they had experienced firsthand how terrifying sasaeng fans could be.
Although sasaeng fans are considered fans, they are fans with extremely extreme behavior. Following a celebrity in a car is considered relatively mild; more serious actions include breaking into dormitories and even poisoning the celebrity's drinks.
Seeing the nanny van ahead weaving in and out of lanes at will, turning or making U-turns without using its turn signal, Zhou Wenzhe knew he had been exposed. However, these tricks were useless to him. As long as the markings disappeared completely, he could find the car within a 10-kilometer radius of him.
After a series of traffic violations, and once he was sure the car wasn't following him, the driver smugly told the two girls in his car, "I've shaken him off."
"Phew, that's great." The two girls breathed a sigh of relief.
"You two go back and tell Lisa and Rose not to go out at night, not to answer any calls from strangers, and not to eat food from unknown sources."
"Okay, don't worry, we'll be careful."
"I think I should tell the company to increase security for you. We received a threatening letter a few days ago, and today we had sasaeng fans following us. These people are really audacious."
A short while later, the driver pulled up to an apartment building. He first looked around from inside the car, and after confirming that there were no suspicious vehicles, he got out and opened the back door. "You guys go on up quickly, remember what I said."
"Okay, goodbye Oppa."
Jisoo and Jennie got out of the car and walked quickly into the apartment building hand in hand.
After confirming that the two people had safely gone upstairs, the driver returned to the car, started the vehicle, and drove away.
Just as he turned a corner, he saw the familiar car again, only this time a young man was standing in front of it.
At this moment, the driver was furious. Was this a provocation? How dare they show themselves?
He then drove up and slammed on the brakes when he was about ten meters away from Zhou Wenzhe. By the time the car came to a complete stop, he was very close to Zhou Wenzhe.
However, Zhou Wenzhe did not move at all, and there was no panic on his face, only a calm and serene smile.
After getting out of the car, the driver angrily walked towards Zhou Wenzhe, cursing as he went: "Damn it..."
The next second, the driver clutched his stomach and squatted down, his face contorted in pain, cold sweat pouring down his face. He hadn't even seen when the young man had made the move.
Zhou Wenzhe snapped his fingers in front of the driver, and the driver's eyes became vacant, looking as if he had lost his soul.
"I ask, you answer." Zhou Wenzhe's voice seemed to have a magical quality.
The driver nodded mechanically.
What is your job at YG Entertainment?
"I am one of Black Pink's managers, mainly responsible for Jisoo's personal schedule, and I also drive."
"Where did you take them back just now?"
"This is the dormitory arranged for them by the company. The room number is 1102 and the password is 1688."
"Did Kim Jisoo go to Japan about two weeks ago?"
"I went there. She went to Tokyo to shoot a magazine poster, and I went with her."
Zhou Wenzhe nodded. That makes sense. It seems the target really is her.
What work does Kim Jisoo have planned for the next few days?
"Tomorrow...the day after tomorrow..." the driver methodically recounted Kim Ji-soo's work schedule for the next ten days.
After listening, Zhou Wenxin snapped his fingers again in front of the driver and said, "Alright, drive back now and forget about what happened tonight."
"Yes."
The driver blankly returned to the van and drove away.
Zhou Wenzhe drove back to his newly bought house, where he stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window holding the business card the talent scout had given him during the day.
Now that the target has been identified, it's just a matter of finding the right opportunity to meet her.
Once we meet, all my doubts should be cleared up.
What have I forgotten?
. . . . . .
