Chapter 1: Mom is Gone!
Chapter 1: Mom is Gone!
In this untouched forest, a pixelated creature named Terra appears out of nowhere.
His body was made up of colorful blocks, and he had no body temperature or breathing.
Just moments ago, he was still basking in the joy of defeating the Moon Lord and saving Terra with his guide, and now he's in this new world.
"So, does that mean I'm the one who needs to save a new world?"
He turned his body to observe the trees and flowers that were loaded with high-definition texture packs, and his pixelated body seemed out of place in this world.
However, the biggest change wasn't in the high-resolution textures, but in the spatial vectors. For the first time in his two-dimensional form, he experienced the existence of left and right directions, a rather peculiar sensation.
Is this the world of version 1.5? They clearly said there wouldn't be any more major updates.
Terra planned to share his joy of seeing the new world with his guide, but when he looked around, he found himself all alone at the birth point.
Where's the tour guide? Didn't he come with me?
Terra was somewhat saddened. In the old world, it was the Guide who had been guiding him on the goals he should achieve at each stage since he felled the first tree. He didn't know the recipe, and it was the Guide who told him without reservation.
In order to save the world, the guide even volunteered to jump into the lava to sacrifice himself and summon a wall of flesh so that Terra could kill him and advance the progress.
In some ways, the Guide was like a mother to Terra!
But now, his mother is gone!
Terra remembered that he had come through a portal after defeating the Moon Lord. If he saved this new world, would that portal reappear and allow him to return?
In short, let's take action first.
Terra dug a clod of earth at his feet to mark his spawn point; the area centered on this point would become his future base.
But the item name on this clod of dirt was beyond his expectations: "The Dirtiest Soil ( )". The first clod of dirt at the spawn point is a rare pet? How lucky?
He checked his inventory in the upper left corner of his field of vision and found only four items:
[Legendary Bronze Pickaxe] *1
[Wright's Copper Axe] *1
[A crude bronze short sword from which 90% of the Zenith Sword's power originates] *1
【The dirtiest soil ( ) *1
Oh, it turns out it was loaded with a fun language pack.
Both the bronze pickaxe and bronze axe have affixes that increase swing speed, which is very helpful for exploring the map in the early stages. Luckily.
As for the bronze dagger, I'll just give it to the slime later and turn it into a town pet.
He walked to the base of a tall tree and swung his bronze axe at the tree roots from a distance. Soon, the giant tree split open with a "pop," and chunks of wood were sucked into his body.
Terra returned to the spawn point and used wood to make a worktable to place it down.
Soon new items entered the backpack:
[Wooden hammer (try striking the altar)] *1
[Wooden Platform] *200
After making preparations, he planned to wander around the forest to see if there were any natural caves he could go into to smash pots and open treasure chests.
After running straight through the forest for several days, he discovered that the forests of the new world were exceptionally vast, seemingly endless, and he saw no caves that went deep underground.
Terra is temporarily unable to test whether her body is in one-life mode, and continuing to explore the surface under the frequent high-damage monsters that spawn at night carries the risk of sudden death.
Death isn't scary. But not being able to see my mentor again is scary.
After careful consideration, Terra decided to return to her spawn point to build a base and manually dig a vertical shaft to see if she could reach the underground cave.
Surprisingly, yet predictably, after digging through more than 1000 clods of earth, sand, and rocks, he still found no caves or even any minerals.
In the old version, the largest world that could be created had a vertical depth of only 2317 blocks from top to bottom. How is it possible that the new version can create worlds with such enormous width and depth?
Terra couldn't help but imagine how troublesome it would be to travel the remaining 365 miles across the map.
His primary goal at this stage is to defeat the goblin army invasion and unlock the Goblin Craftsman. While working towards this goal, he can acquire early-game resources along the way.
To do this, he needs to go to the ocean at the edge of the world, kill goblin scouts to get 10 rags, and make the [Goblin Banner] that can manually summon an army to invade.
Go to the underground cave to find the Life Crystal to increase your health from 100 to 200, thus meeting the requirements to use the Battle Flag.
However, both are now blocked; the forest stretches to the horizon, let alone the edge of the world. Caves are nowhere to be seen either.
Although Terra rediscovered the sense of wonder and desire to explore that she had when she was naive in the new version of the world, she couldn't help but feel frustrated because she had gained nothing after doing so many things.
If his mentor mother were there to give him guidance, that would be great.

"Humans should bully humans, and goblins should bully goblins? Is this the kind of talk a goblin king should have?"
Hearing a shrill curse coming from in front of her, Andrea groggily woke up.
She looked up and found herself in a clearing in the forest, surrounded by a large group of goblins.
Two of them were wearing full armor, one old and one young, and the curse came from the old goblin.
It seems they are the leaders of this group of goblins.
She tried to stretch her body, only to find herself tied to a tree with ropes. The bow and arrows she carried were also flung far away.
"What do you goblins want? Can't you see I'm a noble elf?" Andrea quietly moved her arm to reach for the dagger hidden at her back waist.
The old goblin leader, Dean, turned to look at the elf when he heard her awaken: "Of course we want to, and the noble will not let us release you; they will only increase our attack speed."
The old goblin leader patted the young goblin on the back and pushed him in front of Andrea.
"Did you goblins learn your grammar from orcs?"
The young goblin, pushed forward, met Andrea's gaze. He never expected that the elf, who should have been high and mighty, would now be humiliated, tied to a tree, and staring at him with disdain.
His cheeks flushed, and he turned around: "Father, I don't intend to do that kind of thing to this pure elf lady."
The old goblin leader was furious: "Son! What happened to your promise to drop out of high school, join the resistance, and find women?"
"Steal a few noble ladies, capture some saintesses, play with some elves, just let your old man, the leader of the resistance, have some peace of mind, okay?"
The young goblin pushed up his glasses: "I don't want that kind of smooth-sailing life of being served by female knights, elves, and saintesses. I'm all about pure love."
"That's not what you want, that's what I want!" the old goblin roared.
Andrea was momentarily confused, wondering what was going on. Did goblins nowadays put on a show before doing anything?
The old goblin pointed tremblingly at his son: "When you were little, you used to hug the human nuns in the cave and say, 'I want to find a nun like my mother'... How did you turn out like this when you grew up?"
"Do you know what our neighbors say about you? 'That family's kid, so innocent and studious!' You've embarrassed me so much I'm too ashamed to even go out in public!"
"Father, the new Goblin King has issued a decree, and slogans promoting civility and new social customs are plastered all over the streets. Your outdated thinking is already behind the times."
"The ancestral laws of goblins cannot be changed! Anyone who tries to change them will lose their head! So what if he's king?"
As the old goblin spoke, he grew increasingly agitated, pointing at Andrea, who was tied to a tree: "It's all because of that tyrant that we're now forced to rely on these dim-witted elves to cope!"
"Hey, you two can talk about your own things, can you leave me out?" Andrea was very unhappy to be called an idiot.
"Shut up! If you get caught by goblins, do you even deserve to be called an elf? You fell asleep against a tree without any precautions. How can you sleep?"
"I'd even be upset if the grandson you give me was an idiot!"
"How dare you compare a human to an elf like me? I'll spit in your face!"
"If you dare to spit, I dare to open my mouth!"
"You!" Andrea was so startled that she didn't know how to reply, afraid that this guy would get his way with his insults.
Seeing that the elf had nothing to say, the old goblin arrogantly struck a victorious pose and prepared to turn around and teach his son a lesson.
However, just as he turned his head, a force struck the back of his head, and he was knocked face down by the sudden impact, crashing to the ground.
Then, he heard his men exclaim in surprise.
He quickly propped himself up and found that the elf had broken free of the ropes and retrieved the bow and arrows!
"This guy's hiding a dagger? Hey, didn't we tell you to check if she's hiding any weapons?" The old goblin grumbled as he surveyed his men.
The young goblin pillow whistled.
Andrea really wanted to hang that old goblin from a tree and whip it, but she was outnumbered and outgunned, and her arrows were limited.
On the other hand, this group of goblins is well-equipped with archers and warriors, making a counterattack impossible. Her best option is to use her agility to escape.
She had originally planned to go to town with her companions to become adventurers and carry out the tasks assigned by the clan elders.
However, the accompanying elf is now gone; it seems to have run away.
She would fall into a deep sleep in the forest without any warning, unable to break free from that guy's connection.
"Tsk, she's actually secretly colluding with goblins! What exactly is she trying to do? It can't be that she's developed some unrealistic fantasies about goblins just because she's looked at a few picture books about the human world."
Andrea, with the arrow bearing teeth marks in her mouth, drew her bow and fired.
Arrows, whistling through the air, pierced the charging goblins. Then came the next one, and the next...
Andrea's mind was in turmoil; she hadn't fully recovered from the anger of her companion's betrayal.
In short, there are still many questions that need to be clarified, and she cannot waste time here.
However, she underestimated the goblins' discipline. She thought that after shooting a few, the group would panic and create an opportunity for her to escape. But...
These goblins charged forward shouting about courage and bonds, even throwing their fallen comrades' corpses to obstruct her view and movement.
Andrea used her leg strength to leap onto the treetop. Since the ground was blocked, she would leave through the canopy.
She weaved and twisted among the branches, and just as she was about to break free of the encirclement, goblins lying in ambush on both sides suddenly appeared, and a large net descended from the sky.
*
Andrea was tied back to the tree.
The old goblin chieftain named Dean, carrying an elven bow, clicked his tongue and said, "I thought you were something special, but you're just a lowly elf."
"Then I'm still superior to someone like you who gets happy when you're being scolded!" Andrea bit her lower lip and glared at him.
"I told you, nobility only increases our attack speed. And who said I enjoy being insulted? I'll sue you for defamation!" the old goblin roared.
"I feel good when I get stepped on."
Andrea: "..."
She spat and looked around. The goblins' eyes were fixed on her, and even the treetops were occupied by several archers.
It seems there's no escaping it now.
The old goblin spread out several picture books in front of Andrea: "I'm still quite human. You can choose a story to act out. I recommend this one, 'The Saint's Day Job.' I got this from that nun; it's supposedly a rare find."
Just then, a goblin archer rushed up to the old goblin from a distance: "Reporting, Boss Dean! A pixelated-faced, square-mouthed guy has broken in!"
Before the old goblin could react,
A series of digging sounds came from afar. The old goblin watched as a square hole was dug out of the grass in front of him, and a cube-shaped creature emerged from it and stood in front of the elf.
"Wow! So many goblins! Wow! And a bound guide too!"
